Royal Enfield have finally debuted their new 650cc cruiser model, the Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650, following the publication of many spy shots and lots of speculation about the highly-anticipated new model. It will use the same popular 648cc parallel twin engine as featured in the best selling Interceptor and Continental GT models.
The Royal Enfield Super Meteor 650 will feature a new chassis, to assist with the full cruiser styling and it means that the bike has a low seat height of just 740mm, perfect for shorter riders. The engine will make 46.6bhp and 52Nm of torque and offers a more powerful riding experience for those that want an upgrade from the popular Meteor 350 model. This new 650 model will be the biggest capacity cruiser in the Royal Enfield range.
Royal Enfield will offer a Standard and a Tourer version of the new bike, the Tourer model will include a spacious dual seat with pillion backrest, plus touring handlebars, a windscreen and panniers, making it ideal for longer trips or even commuting on if you fancy it. Both models also feature a new LED headlight and LED indicators to give it a contemporary look.
